West Potomac’s Jack Fricka Commits to Hood College!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate West Potomac HS and Cavs standout Jack Fricka on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at Hood College for the Blazers.Jack is the sixth Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a member of the West Potomac high school (Gunston District Champions) in 2018 – 2019, where he was a key contributor during his Wolverines career.  He was named as Gunston District All-Second Team, NOVA Challenge All-Star selection and Round Ball Classic All-Star game.We are all extremely proud of this terrific news for Jack and his family!!

16U Cavs-Callaghan Wins Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest

Pittsburgh, PA (Sunday, April 24) – The 16U NOVA Cavs-Callaghan took home the Hoop Group Pittsburg Jam Fest title this weekend! Cavaliers claimed their third championships of the season behind the stellar play on the defensive end of the floor. This tournament championship is the fourth time NOVA Cavs have won the Pitt Jam Fest at the prestigious Hoop Group event. 17U NOVA Cavaliers-Corish Season Recap

The NOVA Cavaliers 17U Corish team completed an fabulous spring/summer together.  The group won multiple tournaments and several players went on to become All-League players for their respective HS teams, including Margad Choijisuren, who was named Patriot District Player of the Year, 6C Co-Region Player of the Year, VHSL Class 6 First-Team All-State and Washington Post All-Mets HM. Adi Hrnjez of Marshall HS and Ryan Newell of Centreville HS were also both named First-Team All-Conference in their respective league.Team Accomplishments

Robinson’s Drew Rowson Commits to New Mexico Military Institute!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate Robinson HS and longtime Cavs alumni Drew Rowson on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at New Mexico Military Institute for the Broncos.Drew is the ninth Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a Varsity member of the Robinson high school since his sophomore season, where he was a key contributor during his career as a Ram.  We are all extremely proud of this fabulous news for Drew and his family!!

Hayfield’s Daniel Peterson Commits to University of Mary Washington!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate Hayfield HS and longtime Cavs alumni Daniel Peterson on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at Mary Washington University for the Eagles.Daniel is the eighth Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a Varsity member of the Hayfield high school since his freshman season, where he was a key contributor during his impressive career as a Hawk.  He was named as 6A Second-Team All-State, First-Team Occoquan Region and Gunston District Player of the Year, NOVA Challenge All Star selection, Honorable mention All-Met and many other accolades.We are all extremely proud of this fabulous news for Daniel and his family!!

McLean Highlanders Randy Shephard Commits to Dickinson College!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate McLean HS and Cavs standout Randy Shephard on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at Dickinson College for the Red Devils.Randy is the seventh Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a member of the McLean high school from 2018-2020, where he was named to the Liberty District First-Team and Northern Region All-Second team during his senior season for the Highlanders.We are all extremely proud of this wonderful news for Randy and his family!!
