Manhattan, NY – NOVA Cavaliers (Lin) traveled up North and visited New York City for the famous Rumble in the Bronx event this past weekend. Despite the 1-2 record, the Cavs enjoyed the unforgettable experience of playing in the Basketball Capital City of the World and played competitively throughout the entire tournament.
Playing in downtown Manhattan at Baruch College, Cavaliers struggled in the first game and lost 57-29 to Jersey City Boys Club in the opening game of pool-play. After a rough start to the tournament, NOVA competed furiously in the second game and lost to the once nationally ranked The City Basketball 56-35. In the night cap of the triple-header, the Cavs battled through adversity to complete a second half comeback win over Dream to Achieve; 53-47.
The Cavs will play in a one-day event at Baltimore next weekend – The Inner Harbor Challenge host by Coaches Choice USA at Stevenson University.
