July 13th – 14th Weekend Tournament Recap
NOVA Cavs 17U-Lin’s team winning the Platinum Bracket Championship of Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest at Spooky Nook in Manheim, PA this past weekend
Manheim, PA – Our older age groups and six of the top NOVA Cavs teams were in action this weekend.
The 17U Cavs-Lin team went a perfect 4-0 and once again were crowned as the Hoop Group Jam Fest Champions; the Summer Jam Fest title at Spooky Nook though was the first time in NOVA Cavs program history. Coach Lin’s squad defeated Boys 2 Man, Chris Ward Basketball and Long Island Lightning en-route to the Championship game, where they won an overtime thriller over East Coast Cyclones (NJ) to cap off the tournament. Congratulations goes out to this group of talented players, as more than 25 colleges attended our 17U Cavs games throughout the whole weekend. Way to represent the Cavs!!
Our 15U-Cavs Corish’s team also won the Hoop Group Elite Nook Bracket Championship this weekend!! Coach Corish’s team took down DTX, NOVA 94 Feet, Tarheels and Montreal Prospect in the tournament. The Cavs are now 14-2 in their last four events over the past two months. They have won an remarkable five tournaments now on the season.

We also want to recognize our other Cavs teams for their performances this past weekend and on the year. The 15U Sullender’s team went 2-1 at the Jam Fest, while our 17U-Fort’s team finished the season 21-13 on the season. Both teams did an outstanding job competing and representing the program. Thank you to all the players and coaches for their hard work!
Next weekend, three of our oldest age groups in the Cavs program will participate in the Hoop Group DC Jam Fest at The Saint James in Springfield, VA. Good luck to all the teams!!
