Junior Cavs Win First Tournament of the Year
NOVA Claims “Cavs Summer Breeze” Championship
Purecellville, VA (Loudoun Valley HS) July 14 – 15th
Saturday July 14th – Sunday July 15th NOVA Cavs 46 – Gainesville Elite (Black) 35. The 10U NOVA Cavaliers (Weeren) completed their last tournament of the season by winning the first annual NOVA Cavs Summer Breeze at Loudoun Valley HS. Cavalier’s road to the Final was not an easy path, as they finished 2-0 in pool play with hard-earned victories over Catoctin Basketball Club (CBC) and Gainesville Elite (Silver). NOVA was rewarded with the #1 seed heading to bracket play, where they had to beat CBC in a rematch for the right to play in the Championship Game. In an exciting back and forth Tournament Final, the talented Gainesville Elite (Black) team from Prince Williams County gave Cavaliers everything they can handled, but NOVA still prevailed and walked away with their very first Tournament Championship.
