May 19th – 20th Weekend Tournament Recap
NOVA Cavs 16U-Fort team Winning the Battle of the Beltway Part 1 Tournament in Alexandria, VA at Mount Vernon HS
Springfield, MA / Alexandria, VA / Baltimore, MD – Seven of the NOVA Cavalier teams were in action this weekend.
Congratulations goes out to 16U Cavs-Fort and 15U Cavs-Sawitzky for taking home the Battle of Beltway this past weekend in Alexandria, VA. The 16U Cavs finished the tournament 4-0, with victories over Hoop Life, DMV Saints and DMV Supreme. This marked the first Tournament Championship of the year for Coach Fort’s group. Our 15U Cavs also had a fantastic weekend, as they completed the tourney with 4-0 record as well and won their second Tournament Championships of the season!
The 17U-Dashti Cavs team traveled up to Springfield, MA to play in the BasketBull Hall of Fame Spring Classic this weekend. Coach Dashti’s team defeated Western Mass Offseasonz, Chris Ward Basketball White (NY) and Connecticut Primer Hoops Development, before losing to Syracuse Select in the semifinal of the tournament in a competitive contest. Way to represent the Cavs!
NOVA Cavs 16U-Fort team Winning the Premier 1 East Coast Championship Tournament in Baltimore, MD at Park School
In the Premier 1 Events East Coast Championship in Baltimore, MD this weekend, 12U Nickle’s team finished 1-1, while 13U-Roller’s team advanced into the Tournament Final before losing by 4pts in a close game. 16U Lin won the Varsity division with wins over Western Branch Jags (Stanley), 1life1shot and CBK during pool-play, then won behind a back and forth affair against DTP Elite in the Championship game. Congrats goes out to all the Cavs representing the program well this past weekend!
Next weekend, our 12U-DeSenti and 16U-Corish will play in the Big Time Hoops Mid-Atlantic Championship in Fredericksburg, VA.
