Loudoun/Richmond/Manassas, VA –  Four of the NOVA Cavalier teams were in action this weekend; two of them won the Tournament Championships to cap off a strong month of May for the entire Cavs progam.

Coach Sullender’s 11U/4th grade Cavs team finished the VA Hokies Summer Slam as the tournament champion.  NOVA finished the tournament in Manasass with a perfect 4-0 record.  Cavaliers defeated NOVA 94ft Blue 38-14 and D1SA 39-8 on Saturday, then won a rematch against 94ft Blue in the semifinal (28-14).  In the final, Cavs took down Gainesville Hurricanes 32-20 to earn their first Tournament Championship of the season!  Congratulation goes out to a hard-working 11U Cavaliers team.

In other Cavs results, the 16U-Corish team went 2-2 in the Adidas League of Nation Challenge with solid performances throughout the entire weekend.  The 13U-Weeren Cavs also played in the same event, which included a strong showing in a 59-50 to the host – DC Thunder.  Next weekend, the entire NOVA Cavaliers organization will be in action at the 9th annual Battle of NOVA Invitational.  Look for the schedule to be publish by Wednesday.
