May 5th – 6th Weekend Tournament Recap
NOVA Cavs 14U-Corish team Winning the Crossover Hoops Who Got Next Tournament in Ellicott City, MD at Meadowbrook Athletic Complex
Loudoun, VA / Bowie, MD / Hyattsville, MD / Ellicott City, MD / Frederick, MD – Six of the NOVA Cavalier teams were in action this weekend.
The 16U-Lin and 17U Cavs played in the DMV Elite Super Team Showcase in Bowie, Maryland this past weekend. Coach Lin’s team went 1-1 in the tournament, while Coach Dashti’s team continue to have a strong season and finished 2-0 in the Showcase event. 16U Cavs-Fort team also participated in the Big Time Hoops DMV Invitational at Hood College in Frederick MD, where they played competitively in all three games against older competitions.
In the Zero Gravity DMV Super Cup at the Athletic Republic in Hyattsville, MD last weekend, our 15U lost in the Tournament Championship game despite solid performance throughout the entire tournament. Congratulations goes out to our 14U Coach Sullender’s team, as they finished 4-2 in the Loudoun Commonwealth Classic and was the finalist in the tournament in the 8th grade age group.
Our biggest winner this weekend was the 14U Cavs-Corish’s team. Coach Corish’s 14U team finished the tournament 4-0 and defeated Plme Black to take home the Crossover Hoops Who Got Next Championship! 16U-Lin also finished 3-0 on the day on Sunday.
Next weekend, most of our all teams will play locally in the DMV area. Our older aged teams will participate in the Big Shots VIT, while our younger age groups will play in Loudoun Invitational Tournament.
