Washington DC / Loudoun, VA / College Park, MD –  Four of the NOVA Cavalier teams were in action this weekend in the DMV metro area.

16U and 13U Cavaliers participated in the Big Shots DC at Wilson HS this weekend.  Coach Gray-Mende’s team squared off against good competitions all weekend long, with tough matches against Carolina Wolves, Team Wall and DC Premier.  But the 16U team fought valiantly and competed hard throughout the entire weekend, especially with strong performances from Andrew Powers (South Lakes) and Ben Ayanian (Flint Hill).  Cavs are making serious progress and will look to make a run this second half of the season.

Coach Boltersdorf’s Cavs also played well for much of the weekend despite the 1-2 record.  13U Cavs are making steady improvement and was competitive in all the games at Big Shots.  They lost an entertaining back and forth affair against Burke Bulldogz on Sunday.  The development of this team has been tremendous and fun to watch over the past few weeks; led by the play of dynamic duo Jaheim Brown and Bobby Asel.
