Nate Roberts Commits to Play at Christopher Newport University
The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate stand out Fairfax High School and NOVA Cavs’ big man Nate Roberts on his recent commitment to play DIII Basketball at Christopher Newport University.
Over his distinguished career at Fairfax, Nate accomplished the following.
Awards:
- 2014 Liberty Conference All Defense Team
- 2015 1st Team All Conference – Liberty Conference
- 2015 Liberty Conference All Defense Team
- 2015 Liberty Conference All Tournament Team
- 2015 Rebel Award Winner for Fairfax Basketball
Stats:
- Averaged 9.3 pts, 6.3 Rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game this year.
Records:
First recorded triple double in school history (22 pts, 11 rebs and 11 blocks against WL this year)
Single game record for most blocks in a game (12). Also holds 2nd place (11) and tied for 4th (7 twice)
4th best single game shooting percentage (minimum 10 attempts) with 90% against WL this season.
School record for most blocks in a season (86) this year. Also holds 2nd place with 80 last season as a junior.
School record for most blocks in a career with 167 (the previous record was 94)
