Fairfax’s Daniel Mbangue Commits to Randolph Macon College!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate Fairfax HS and longtime Cavs alumni Daniel Mbangue on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at Randolph Macon College for the Yellow Jackets.Daniel is the fourth Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a member of the Fairfax high school (34-16) from 2017-2019, where he was a key contributor during his impressive career as a Rebel.  He was named as 6A Second-Team All-Region and Patriot District First-Team, NOVA Hoops.com All-Juniors and many other accolades.We are all extremely proud of this big news for Daniel and his family!!

Chantilly Chargers Chris Miers Commits to York College!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate Chantilly HS and Cavs standout Chris Miers on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at York College for the Spartans.Chris is the third Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a member of the Chantilly high school from 2018-2020, where he was named to the Concord District First-Team.We are all extremely proud of this big news for Chris and his family!!

Freedom South-Riding’s Lance Johnson Commits to Randolph Macon College!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate Freedom South Riding HS and Cavs standout Lance Johnson on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at Randolph Macon College for the Yellow Jackets.Lance is the second Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a member of the Freedom South-Riding high school (16-11; Potomac District Champions and VA State Championship Runner-Up) in 2019, where he was a key contributor during his illustrative career.  He was named as VA All-State, 5A Region and Potomac District First-Team, Washington Post All-Met team and many other accolades.We are all extremely proud of this big news for Lance and his family!!

James Madison’s Soren Almquist Commits to Hood College!!

The NOVA Cavs would like to congratulate James Madison HS and Cavs standout Soren Almquist on his recent commitment to play College Basketball at Hood College for the Blazers.Soren is the first Cavs player in the 2020 class to commit playing college basketball at the next level.  He was a member of the James Madison high school from 2018- 2020, where he was a key player during his HS career.  He was also named Concord District First-Team in 2019.We are all extremely proud of this news for Soren and his family!!

Jerry Lin Stepping Down as NOVA Cavs Program Director

 Falls Church, VA – NOVA Cavs Founder and Program Director Jerry Lin has announced his retirement from the Cavs organization.  Statement below:“I would like to take this occasion and announce the transitional process for the NOVA Cavs. I have coached my last game with the Cavs and will step down as the Program Director. It’s truly been a pleasure over the last 15 years to lead this wonderful organization. I feel incredibly fortunate with my AAU basketball experience, where I met some of the finest people that I ever had the privilege to work with. NOVA Cavs 17U-Lin’s team and families photo at the Tip Of The Hat Big Time Hoops at Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas, NV last weekend Las Vegas, NV / Reston, VA –  The last weekend of the 2019 AAU season saw an fitting way to the end for our top age group team.17U Cavs-Lin flew out to Las Vegas to participate in one of nation’s top AAU event- The Tip of the Hat Big Time Hoops Vegas event hosted by the Gary Charles Classic.  The Cavs team continued their sizzling play in July, as they rolled over in pool-play with victories over PAC Phenoms (San Francisco), 3D Sports Team Bizness (Dallas) and Team ARTIS AZ (Phoenix).  NOVA then defeated New Zealand Basketball Academy […]
